High Tech on Channel 1
I currently host High Tech on channel 1. The show handles the latest and most exciting topics from all corner of the IT globe, and brings it to the regular viewers at home. Channel 1 is the most viewed channel across the entire Arab world, with an audience reaching 20 million at peak times.
The main goal is to simplify the subject matter for the average Egyptian family to follow. The structure of the episodes is rather dynamic, with external reports playing a major role.
High Tech can also be viewed on Nile Culture satellite channel.
CONNECT on OTV
As the host of CONNECT, a weekly TV show on OTV Egypt that talks about IT and technology, I’ve recorded a total of 94 episodes over two and a half years.
In Connect the viewers get to witness all of the latest and most exciting from the world of IT and technology as we take a close look at the newest gadgets, programs, websites and games. Each episode is divided into 4 segments: Hardware, Software, Internet, and Games. In each segment we take a look at the latest news from all over the world, before moving on to the main topic of the day. We closely analyze the topic of discussion to help viewers decide what to buy and how to make full use of it. We wrap up with the conclusion on the product/topic and move on to the e-mail segment.
In the e-mail segment, we read out the most relevant questions received from the viewers and solve the problem or answer the question.

God Bless Oil: Energy of the Free
A Documentary that discusses the issue of oil, or the lack of it. I focus on the usage of cars in the United States, searching for explanations to the market trends that do not correspond with the oil crises world-wide.
I interviewed several different professors at Penn State as well as random car owners across town in search for solutions and alternatives to the shortage of resources available.

Egyptian Vertigo
A short scene made to be the transitional point between the two parts of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic, Vertigo.
In the movie, James Stewart enters a depression after believing that his love has died. This scene is a unique approach to how he was able to find the motivation to move on with his life and go forward. The only twist is that it is all in Arabic and between two Egyptian friends.

Gas Nation
One of the first video projects I made at Penn State. It was at an experimental phase and therefore there was more emphasis on the tools and their capabilities.
The idea was to convey the frustration I felt at the apparent obsession with cars that I witnessed during my time at the United States. I was also observing the arguably poor infrastructure that seemed to have obliged citizens to own and deeply rely on cars.
