This is one of the latest episodes of Computer TV, which is a YouTube channel that brings the latest from the Computer globe. You have to appreciate that casual approach they take to presenting new products and gadgets, as it ironically gives it considerable credibility since you, as a regular consumer, can relate to the presenter.

The LED TV itself is second to none, with impressive features and an impressive look and image quality. It is great to see that there are more and more features from the Web integrated with other gadgets, such as viewing the weather and checking on stocks. However, I am personally very skeptical of the usability of the widgets that are available on the screen. They seem like one of the those services that look great on paper, but are just inconvenient to use, and therefore aren’t very useful. I truly doubt there will be people that will be checking RSS feeds regularly from the TV screen – it is far easier to do so from a computer. At a price starting at $1,800, the Samsung LED is not exactly an investment that could slip unnoticed within the monthly expenses.

Nevertheless, it’s a great invention that will hopefully reduce the price of smaller LCDs available in the market.
